The RGB Produce Story

Just a kid working in the produce department in Publix, Allen DeMo had no idea that it would be the start of a life in the agriculture industry. From Publix, he and 4 of his close friends started working at a tomato packing house to make extra money in Palmetto and he was hooked. Since then, Allen’s produce tenure has moved him to multiple states and visits to some of the best farms in the US as well as some of the most exotic farms all over the world. His career encompasses farming, packing operations, trucking, purchasing, selling, private label, grower relations and management. With every position Allen has taken on in the industry he has always gone back to the source, the growers. His dedication to ensuring they are taken care of while maintaining best-in-class retail partnerships led him to create RGB.

Allen’s top priority in life is relationships, not only in the industry, but in his personal life as well. He sees his biggest accomplishment in life is the family he has created with his wife, Tina. He contributes his success to her as she has been his number one cheerleader in life. They have two daughters, Jennifer and Billie who have both worked in the produce industry. Jennifer is now in leadership at a California school district and Billie has taken on the start-up CPG industry with a wellness beverage brand. Both of his daughters have given him his greatest gift in life, his three grandchildren, that influenced the namesake of RGB produce representing the R-G- and B.
